Meerkat Mob

Ceramic Stoneware Meerkat Mob. Meerkats live in all parts of the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, in much of the Namib Desert in Namibia, South Western Angola, and in South Africa. Meerkats, also called suricates, are very sociable animals that play together and groom each other. Members of the mongoose family, they live in mobs (yes, that's what a group of meerkats is called) of 20 to 50 individuals which work together and share underground burrows to stay cool in the desert heat.
